A Will is the only way of being sure
your wishes are met after your death. Every adult should have one, irrespective
of their age, to avoid potentially causing unnecessary complications for loved
ones at a difficult time.

Gifts left to charities do not prevent
you taking care of your loved ones and are free from inheritance tax. If you
have an existing will you can change it to include The Smiles Foundation and if
you have yet to write one, then it is not so difficult as you may think.

- You don't need to be wealthy to
make a Will or to leave at gift
- If you have an existing Will but
would like to leave a gift to The Smiles Foundation you can do so by way of an
addition to that Will - which is called a Codicil
- If you have not yet made a Will
then you should use the services of a Solicitor. Although there will be a fee
for their services
- There are two main ways to leave
a gift to Smiles.
Residuary Legacy: after taking care of your loved ones you can choose
to leave a portion of what is left to The Smiles Foundation.
Pecuniary Legacy: you can specify a certain amount to Smiles
- Inheritance Tax is not
payable on gifts to Registered Charities
In order to include the gift in your Will the solicitor will just need to know
the Name, Address and Registered Charity Number as follows:
