A Letter from Maria's Desk...
Life’s
storms….
 This
past month I heard a sermon that really made me think hard!!!
Since I was a kid I’ve heard this story many many times, but never
thought of it and saw it the way I heard it this time!
After a "busy day" talking to the people, Jesus asked the
disciples to get in the boat and go on the other side of the
sea!!! Once they got in the middle of the sea, a storm started!
The boat was in danger and they began to panic……and Jesus?!?!?
Jesus was sleeping. Here is the thing that I’d not realised until
now!!!!!! Jesus DID NOT PROMISE to
the disciples that everything will be perfect and calm and
smooth!!! He promised them that He will take them to THE OTHER
SIDE!!!!
I love it!!! To live this life with the thought in your mind that
"Jesus is taking us on the other side ALWAYS!! ". The journey in
the middle!?!?! Well, He promised us that he will be with us no
matter what, so we go through them WITH HIM!!!
This past month for me was a real
"storm month".
The pressure with the construction on the
JFL project is at the top! But
the good news is that with Jesus in it, all will be done on time
and a real joy! I’ve been involved with a lots of things there-
plumbing, painting, cleaning, plastering, flooring…….lots!!! The
great news is that when the project is finished - it will look
AMAZING!!
Also another big "storm project"
for me in the last time was Tileagd!!!
But Jesus took us "on the other side" and now with a great joy, we
can say that starting from September - the State is paying the
teachers and Smiles can continue the involvement that we had in
the people’s lives.
For me, I see it all as "a new beginning!"….and I can’t wait for
it! From September I will be more involved in the leadership of
this project! On the ground that is, in Tileagd, initially for 2
or 3 days a week. Please pray for me and pray for this project! I
really want these people to get to know God on a personal level,
because then I am
sure EVERYTHING will be better!!!!
I really encourage you to continue to support this project! I
would love to have a minibus that could help us with the
transportation of the kids around! We had one for the school 10
years ago, but lost it in the budget restrictions about 4 years
ago. The program that we plan for them to have there from
September would be amazing!
So please pray with me and support this
project if you can!!!
What else???
Well the mission trip season was in full
swing in August, so great to see people giving their time, money
and support to the Romanian people!!! I love this project and I’m
over the moon that next year we will have a special anniversary!!!
10 year since we opened the Mission Centre!!!!
So, COME AND GET READY TO PARTY!!!!
There will be lots of opportunities
through the year and lots of surprises!!!!!!
So, what’s going on next???? Well
, I’m getting ready to go to AFRICAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ANOTHER DREAM becoming a reality!!!!! I’ve always wanted to go,
but never knew how, or when or where???? Now God gave me this
opportunity and I’m over the moon!!!!! My joy Is even bigger that
I share this joy and opportunity with VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE to my
heart.
I will have my hubby
Cornel, for the first time experience!!!!!! Than I have Georgi,
Ritza and Dawn – special ladies and
great true friends to me!!! And to make sure everything is under
control, we take Mr Hoy with us too!! . I’m sooooo happy to have
ALL of them in my life. A real blessing!
To be honest with you, I would lie if I tell you that I’m not
nervous at all!!! So, I am. I’m nervous because of anything that
could happen?!?!?!?!!
THAT’S WHY WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS!!!!
Please pray for safety and for a blessed time.
Pray also for me, because I’m
leaving with a heavy heart! If
you remember from my previous reports, I told you about my
grandmother from my father side. Well, she is not feeling great!
Pray that if I will not see her on this earth to see her in
heaven! Pray for my family too. My mum and dad have a hard time
now. Both their mothers are not feeling good. Today I found that
my other grandmother, from my mother side, is in the hospital too.
I know there will be a time when we have to say goodbye to dear
ones, but it is soooooooooooo hard!!!
I left them with Psalm
121!!!!! I would like to leave
you as well with the same psalm!!
