We want to see
“Worship through Arts”
developing in Gepiu |
|
Smiles
already implemented so many good ideas for working with the young
people in Gepiu, from spending time
together as casual as pyjamas parties to serious Bible Studies for
every week, and we noticed their interest in being part of everything
going on is growing. All of them are enthusiastic about doing things
that are only possible because the Community Centre is there for them.
This time we really want to get them to do many and various things
that will help them discover their gifts and talents, for developing
their abilities towards a truly and more complete Christian life
altogether. |
One of the new activities
is learning to play guitar.
This is part of the larger concept of finding and growing the talented
people,
teaching them how to improve and use their skills for becoming
good at it. We are pretty confident that at least 3 or 4 out of about
12-15 that want to start a guitar class will finish with great
success, and we want to be able to provide the tools and assistance
needed in order to achieve that. Of course, even though in the
beginning we might have many people willing to start, later on some of
them will find the process too difficult or they might loose interest
once the hard work has to be put in; nevertheless, we are prepared to
go on with all of them, as far as they want and can do it.
We’ve got the teacher for the guitar
classes. We’ve got the students too. But we still need the guitars at
this point. Can you Help?

Adi's Tileagd Class - Gepiu needs Guitars too! |
|
We need up to ten guitars. Because the students are all above 14, and because we want to teach
them play less of classical guitar music and more of a modern style,
we need 6 strings large body guitars, western type. These are
appropriate for our purpose. We need also some accessories, like extra
string sets, belts, picks and so on, but as a main need, the guitars
come first. Of course, the “complete package” purchases that contains
all of these would be even better, but we will use anything and
everything we get.
If you want to participate in this and become a part of our vision to
bring the arts and worship together for the young people’s benefit,
you are welcome to support the project and your contribution is much
appreciated!
Let’s do this together, as all of us can bring in a little bit for the
common goal!
Either donate guitars and accessories
to come on the Container, or make a financial gift allowing us to
purchase the supplies locally.
The Young Musicians and the whole team at Gepiu will be so thankful
as we develop Worship together!
In Christ’s Service
