Smile's is now working
in collaboration with the State:
- to provide 5th
Grade Education to Roma & Poor Communities in and around Tileagd
- to provide shelter,
support and counselling to Victims of Domestic Abuse
- to provide inspiration &
insight to Students & Professors from across Romania on the
Foundation’s Social Policy rooted in Biblical Principles.
On June 16th
2007 – 55 students and
professors from 12 counties across Romania gathered at Smiles Romanian
Headquarters in Cihei for a conference on the
Social Policy of a NGO working with Minority
Groups and Socially Deprived families.
The State departments had
seen the work of Smiles and asked if we would host the forum.
Our chief executive, Kevin
Hoy spoke to the group for an hour and several questions were
forthcoming after the presentation.
The event was considered a
great success by all and here we have a few photographs taken along
with a note received from one of the delegates. |
