Special Moment in your
life/
Brief Testimony:
I always
wanted to work with children, to teach them and therefore became a
teacher.
I
remember when I was just a little child, I used to gather all the kids
from the street where I lived, acting like I was a teacher and they
were the children. This desire and passion to teach followed me
through the years and after I finished high school I choose to go and
study Literature in the University, but because of the high costs that
I had to pay, I gave up. At that time I was very disappointed and sad,
but I had no clue that the most important thing was about to happen -
I found a job as a relief teacher. So, with
this, I
was able to go to the University and fulfil my dream to become a
teacher.
I
have worked in Tileagd with Smiles since 2003. I remember the first
day of school, when the kids were much older
than
normal and even then I tried so hard to explain what they needed to do
– but they didn’t understand me.
The surprise was I needed a translator from Romanian to Gypsy
language!
Challenging, but beautiful times. Over the years, children grow up
and became more respectful, mature, serious and committed and it is
wonderful to be part of this great process.
Family Details:
I have a
wonderful family. I am married with Ciprian since 2002 and God blessed
us with a wonderful son Filip who is 7 years old. We are committed to
our Lord and are involved in different activities of the church.
(Choir and Youth ministry are just two).
Hopes for the future
My
biggest wish is to be able to provide for my own son and for my
children in school the best education and to motivate them to have big
dreams and plans for their lives.
I keep telling them, that a good student is the one who overtakes
their teacher! |
