STAFF PROFILE ........

Name: Maghiar Georgeta Ileana
Place of Birth:
Oradea
Date of Birth:
4th April 1977

Education:
High School “Constantin Brancusi” Oradea - Graduated in 1997

Position in Smiles: Administrator “Tileagd Community Complex”

A brief testimony:
I was born in Tileagd in a Christian family and raised with Christian teaching. Since I was a little girl I’ve enjoyed reading books about missionaries and their life and ministry. Elisabeth and Jim Elliot’s work and life was inspiring to me and I wanted to become a missionary. I received the Lord in my life and got baptized when I was 16 years old and after I finish my school I went in South-East of Romania (I lived in West part of the country) and started a missionary work there. I worked with Turkish that were Muslims. Seeing their life changed after they accepted Christ, has determined me to share the Gospel and have this ministry in the Muslim world for five years.

Family Details:
I am the fifth born into a family of six, 3 boys and 3 girls. Five of my siblings are married. The greatest joy in our family are the nine grandsons, cousins, nephews, (and more will come, I am sure).

I am married to Mihai since 2003. He works as a medical staff in the General Hospital from Oradea, at the Ophthalmology ward, being very passionate about his job. My parents are retired and live in Tileagd.

Interests/Hobbies:
I like listening to music, reading and doing crafts. Most of all, I love travelling in different places.

The best part of working with Smiles...
I am with Smiles since 2003, when The Community School Project was started. At the beginning, I worked as a teaching assistant, but then, from 2007 I became the administrator of the school. Words are not enough to describe the joy of bringing a smile to a child’s face, seeing them doing their first things in life, becoming what they want to become. More than just offering them education, guidance, finding the true talents and encouraging them, the greatest thing is to be able to share the love of God with them, the fact that He is the one to guide and lead their life.

Hopes for the future:
If your plan is for a year, plant rice.
If your plan is for a decade, plant trees.
If your plan is for a lifetime, educate your children.
