A Brief Testimony
A quote that has been a marker stone for me are the words of a song
that go like this: Put your fear on the altar and leave it, walk
on by faith and believe it, you`ll have all you need when you need it.

Hoping to work for a
Christian library I came from Cluj to Oradea, I wanted this position
because I thought I would have more time to read and prepare to take a
PhD in theology. Deep inside of me I always wanted to be involved
directly in missions, but I was afraid of not being prepared enough
for this.
 God
works in mysterious ways, and our plans are
not always His plans for us. The job at the library was supposed to be
opened in 3 weeks from the day I arrived in Oradea. During this time I
decided I had to do something, so I came to work as a volunteer for
Smiles, in Gepiu. Though fearful because I had not enough experience
in working with children, God gave me all I needed when I needed it.
After the first week, I fell in love with the kids and decided I
didn’t want the other job anymore. I realized that this is the place
that God had for me and that being involved in peoples lives is more
valuable than getting another degree.
Family Details:
 I
am the first born of two children that my parents have; I have a
brother named Benjamin, and he is a year younger than me.
My mother works as an
education
instructor at the Deaf High School in Cluj, and my father is a
plumber. I have been blessed with amazing parents that have always
encouraged me to follow my dreams and I am deeply grateful for them.
My brother has just
graduated at the University of Agricultural Science and Veterinary
Medicine in Cluj, he studied Veterinary Medicine, and now works as a
doctor.
My parents and my brother still live in Cluj.
Interests/Hobbies:
I love being in the middle of the nature, it is a place
of peace and relaxation for me. I also love reading and music.
 Best
part of working in Smiles:
As you may know, in the Gepiu Project we serve the
children in the After school program, also the young people that come
to our youth meeting and the elderly, that come to the special lunch
we have for them. Also Smiles is involved in helping the needy
families in the village. This way Smiles touches all categories of
people in the village of Gepiu.
 It
is an honour for me to be part of a great team that
brings emotional and spiritual healing, takes care of the physical
needs, brings hope and encourages people to keep the dream inside of
the circumstances. It is a real joy to see people smiling around me.
Hopes
for the future:
My biggest desire is to see happy, smiling
people. I want to see in them the happiness that only God’s Presence
can bring.
