Working with animals is always hard as
they don’t know a week-end to a week-day and never have a day off.
Equally, plants don’t drink twice as much on Saturday in order to
have Sunday off! They need watering every day and when it’s been as
hot as it has been in Romania this Summer, watering means 3-4 hours
every day!!
Linda, Danute and Olivia have learnt this the hard way this past
month, as the demands of caring for live stock and plants has placed
a heavy burden on them all.
But wonderful progress is being seen.
The pigs continue to grow.

Soon we hope significant
supply of pork for the Children’s Centres and Mission Centre will be
coming from Gepiu rather than the market!
In May, we started the Chicken project. For meat at first and
subsequently ‘Egg Production’.
The Chickens are growing fast and soon the freezer will be
stocking up with wonderful chicken meat from Gepiu.

The Poly-tunnels
invested in back in April have proved fantastic.
The fruit and vegetables we are already harvesting are wonderful.
Linda says she prays and sings over the plants daily, which truly
goes to prove the ‘Power’ of Prayer and Praise!
Today (June 30th) our Horticultural
advisor – Paul Jeanes – arrived in Romania and hopes to work on the
final steps of installing our Irrigation system which will help with
the huge task of watering. The Tank is in place, the pipes are laid
and irrigation is into the poly-tunnels – so Paul just has to put it
all together and make it work!
We’re praying for you Paul!!
