Specially made Christmas Sacks filled with a specific list of items
including clothing, hygiene, toys and sweets all purchased in Romania
and distributed by folks on the Smiles Mission Trips in December.
Everything purchased is new, all sacks are filled identical to ensure
suitability for all recipients. A great concept that avoids
disappointment among children comparing gifts others receive.
Sacks are sponsored at £30 / $50 each which guarantees consistency and
quality, as well as suitability for boys and girls appropriate for the
age receiving them. All supplies were purchased in Romania which
also helps the local economy.
With over 800 sacks sponsored, Smiles Teams are able to deliver presents to
all of the youngsters that Smiles are involved with throughout the year,
in the family program, through the school and nursery, Children's centres, Gypsy villages
in Tileagd and Salard, as well as the Bratca hospital.
